Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-3 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 15-40 mm long, 10-22 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, pinnately divided, shallowly divided, teeth distinctly pointing towards the apex, with 2-5 lobes on each side, the margins flat. Inflorescences hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 7-10 mm long, hairy. Perianth 20-24 mm long, glabrous, without awns; pistil 23-25 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), ovate, 10-12 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA subregion(s).
