Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 30-50 mm long, 7-17 mm wide, hairy; petiole 5-15 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 6-10 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), pink; innermost bracts 8-13 mm long, hairy. Perianth 19-23 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 25-29 mm long, curved, style hairy. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), elliptic, 5-6 mm long. Flowers in July, August or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Threatened (T).
