Bushy, lignotuberous shrub, to 1 m high. Fl. yellow, Aug to Sep. Gravelly lateritic soils.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 45-100 mm long, 7-15 mm wide, hairy; petiole 8-10 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 12-25 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), pink; innermost bracts 15-24 mm long, hairy. Perianth 18-23 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 22-25 mm long, curved, style hairy. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), elliptic, 5-6 mm long. Flowers in July, August or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Threatened (T).
