Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. The project team is now conducting testing of the migrated data, and a further update will be provided by the end of the financial year (1 July). Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 260-365 mm long, 40-60 mm wide, hairy; petiole 130-210 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 8-11 lobes on each side, the margins recurved. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 42-48 mm long, hairy. Perianth 46-48 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), without awns; pistil 35-42 mm long, straight or curved, style hairy. Follicles glabrous, obovate, 13-16 mm long. Flowers in September or October. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
