Non-lignotuberous shrub, to 1.5 m high. Yellow-grey sandy gravel over laterite or gravelly loam. Slopes.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 290-370 mm long, 10-30 mm wide, hairy; petiole 150-200 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 6-10 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), cream or yellow; innermost bracts 45-65 mm long, hairy. Perianth 45-53 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), without awns; pistil 45-65 mm long, straight or curved, style hairy. Follicles glabrous, obovate, 9-12 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority One (P1).
