Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Prostrate shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 230-410 mm long, 9-15 mm wide, hairy; petiole 70-180 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided or divided to the midrib, with 10-20 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 40-65 mm long, hairy. Perianth 36-45 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), without awns; pistil 43-50 mm long, straight or curved, style hairy. Follicles glabrous, obovate, 13-16 mm long. Flowers in August. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
