Scientific Description

Prostrate shrubs, 0.35-0.40 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 350-425 mm long, 50-100 mm wide, hairy; petiole 30-60 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 20-34 lobes on each side, the margins recurved. Inflorescences tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs), pink; innermost bracts 26-30 mm long, hairy. Perianth 40-46 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), without awns; pistil 45-48 mm long, curved, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, obovate, 17-18 mm long. Flowers in September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
