Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. The project team is now conducting testing of the migrated data, and a further update will be provided by the end of the financial year (1 July). Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.25-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 250-365 mm long, 30-60 mm wide, hairy; petiole 30-60 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 10-18 lobes on each side, the margins flat. Inflorescences villous (with soft, shaggy, weak and straight hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 18-20 mm long, hairy. Perianth 35-40 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), without awns; pistil 38-65 mm long, curved, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), obovate, 13-15 mm long. Flowers in July or August. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s).
