Prostrate, non-lignotuberous shrub, to 0.2 m high. Fl. cream-yellow, Aug to Nov. White or grey sand. Coastal dunes, sandplains.
Scientific Description
Prostrate shrubs; branchlets glabrous. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 75-200 mm long, 6-15 mm wide, hairy; petiole 20-40 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided or divided to the midrib, with 17-38 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), green or yellow; innermost bracts 38-48 mm long, hairy. Perianth 26-38 mm long, hairy or glabrous, all over, limb apex pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), without awns; pistil 35-40 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous or hairy, pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), obovate, 16-18 mm long. Flowers in September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
