Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. The project team is now conducting testing of the migrated data, and a further update will be provided by the end of the financial year (1 July). Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

The notice period started at 9:45 am on Friday, 12 December 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, 1 July 2026 +08:00.

Dwarf, prostrate, lignotuberous shrub, 0.1-0.5 m high. Fl. yellow, Oct. White/grey sand and/or gravel over laterite. Hills.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.10-0.30 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 75-225 mm long, 10-24 mm wide, hairy; petiole 12-30 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 15-48 lobes on each side, the margins flat or revolute. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), green or yellow; innermost bracts 13-15 mm long, hairy. Perianth 28-34 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), without awns; pistil 68-79 mm long, curved, style hairy. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), obovate, 13-14 mm long. Flowers in October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
