Non-lignotuberous shrub, to 1 m high. Fl. cream, Jun to Sep. Yellow sand, clay, gravel, laterite, granite. Open scrubby flat, slopes, low heath.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 110-200 mm long, 10-35 mm wide, hairy; petiole 0 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 5-11 lobes on each side, the margins flat. Inflorescences hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), cream or brown; innermost bracts 8-10 mm long, hairy. Perianth 16-20 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 19-24 mm long, curved, style hairy. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), obovate, 10-13 mm long. Flowers in June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
