Erect, prickly, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.5-1.5 m high. Fl. yellow, Jul to Oct. Grey sand & lateritic rocks.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.5-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 45-75 mm long, 15-30 mm wide, hairy; petiole 10-15 mm long; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, pinnately divided, shallowly divided, teeth distinctly pointing towards the apex or teeth pointing outwards, with 6-13 lobes on each side, the margins flat. Inflorescences silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 8-12 mm long, hairy. Perianth 28-32 mm long, glabrous, without awns; pistil 30-32 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), ovate, 5-7 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA subregion(s).
