Columnar, non-lignotuberous shrub, 1-2.5 m high. Fl. cream-yellow, May to Aug. Lateritic clay, sand over laterite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-2.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 85-170 mm long, 5-10 mm wide, hairy; petiole 10-40 mm long; lamina flat, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 5-17 lobes on each side, the margins recurved. Inflorescences silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs) or villous (with soft, shaggy, weak and straight hairs), cream or yellow; innermost bracts 12-14 mm long, hairy. Perianth 18-22 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 23-31 mm long, curved, style hairy. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), obovate, 6-9 mm long. Flowers in May, June, July or August. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
