Erect, rigid, lignotuberous shrub, 0.9-1.5 m high. Fl. yellow, Aug or Dec or Jan to Feb. Gravelly sand or clay loam over laterite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1.5-2 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 40-80 mm long, 10-16 mm wide, hairy; petiole 15-25 mm long; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 3-10 lobes on each side, the margins recurved. Inflorescences villous (with soft, shaggy, weak and straight hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 15-20 mm long, hairy. Perianth 40-46 mm long, glabrous, without awns; pistil 40-45 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), obovate, 10-13 mm long. Flowers in January, February, March, April or May. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
