Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 75-140 mm long, 7-14 mm wide, hairy; petiole 20-38 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 7-15 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs) or hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), yellow or purple; innermost bracts 10-20 mm long, hairy. Perianth 11-14 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 13-15 mm long, curved, style hairy. Follicles hairy, pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), obovate, 10-12 mm long. Flowers in May or June. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
