Prostrate, spreading, lignotuberous shrub, to 0.3(-0.5) m high. Fl. yellow-brown, Oct to Dec or Jan. Rocky sandy clay, white sand with gravel.
Scientific Description
Prostrate shrubs, 0.30-0.50 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 240-420 mm long, 20-55 mm wide, hairy; petiole 20-40 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 15-23 lobes on each side, the margins recurved. Inflorescences villous (with soft, shaggy, weak and straight hairs), brown; innermost bracts 10-15 mm long, hairy. Perianth 32-40 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 30-35 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, obovate or orbicular, 9-10 mm long. Flowers in October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
