Sprawling, pungent, lignotuberous shrub, 0.3-1.2 m high. Fl. yellow-orange, Aug to Sep. White or yellow sand over laterite or limestone. Sandplains.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 50-110 mm long, 15-30 mm wide, hairy; petiole 2-5 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, with 5-12 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), yellow; innermost bracts 20-35 mm long, hairy. Perianth 32-35 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 37-45 mm long, straight or curved, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), obovate, 8-13 mm long. Flowers in August or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Murchison (MUR) or Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s).
