Prostrate, lignotuberous shrub. Fl. red-orange-brown-cream, Apr. White/grey sand. Seasonally waterlogged plains.
Scientific Description
Prostrate shrubs, 0.10-0.35 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 130-360 mm long, 25-70 mm wide, hairy; petiole 50-95 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 15-28 lobes on each side, the margins recurved or revolute. Inflorescences villous (with soft, shaggy, weak and straight hairs), orange, pink or brown; innermost bracts 15-20 mm long, hairy. Perianth 32-37 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs) or silky (with soft, shiny and appressed hairs), without awns; pistil 35-40 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), obovate, 15-16 mm long. Flowers in April. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Threatened (T).
