Prostrate, or rounded, lignotuberous shrub, 0.2-0.3 m high, up to 1 m wide. Fl. yellow/yellow-brown, Sep to Oct. Grey sand, gravel, laterite, skeletal sandy soils.
Scientific Description
Prostrate shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 50-220 mm long, 6-12 mm wide, hairy; petiole 10-30 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 25-45 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences cream; innermost bracts 20-22 mm long, glabrous. Perianth 26-31 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 39-45 mm long, straight, style hairy. Follicles hairy, hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), obovate, 10-14 mm long. Flowers in September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
