Scientific Description

Shrubs; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs, not ribbed, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 55-180 mm long, 1-4 mm wide, hairy; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, the margins revolute, enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, pink; pedicels 3.5-5 mm long, glabrous. Perianth 12-17 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 6-7 mm long; pistil 16-20 mm long, white or red, pollen presenter lateral, style glabrous. Flowers in January, February, March, August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Threatened (T).
