Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. The project team is now conducting testing of the migrated data, and a further update will be provided by the end of the financial year (1 July). Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs, ribbed or not ribbed, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 60-80 mm long, hairy, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib; lobes 15-45 mm long, 1.3-1.5 mm wide, the margins revolute, exposing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a single groove. Inflorescences axillary, red. Perianth 8-10.5 mm long, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, sessile; pistil 21-25 mm long, red, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Flowers in November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
