Annual, herb, to 0.4 m high. Fl. yellow, Aug to Oct. Red clay and sand, loam over granite. Flats, road verges.

Scientific Description

Erect, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 17(-20) mm long, glabrous, flat with flat margins; margins entire, leaflets 3, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked. Calyx 4-4.5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs. Corolla 6-6.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow. Stamens ten. Fruit stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Flowers in August, September and October. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Murchison, Coolgardie, Geraldton Sandplains, Avon Wheatbelt and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA regions.
