Scientific Description
Prostrate,spreading or scrambling, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 45-72 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, leaflets 13-15, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 4-7 mm long, without glands, ribless. Pedicel present, 1-2 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent. Calyx 4-5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 7-7.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, orange; claws present; standard 6-6.5 mm long, hairy at least in part, not auriculate, wings 5.5-6.2 mm long, not auriculate, keel 5-6 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, hairy at least in part. Stamens ten, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath with one free stamen, 6-7 mm long. Ovary stipitate, hairy or glandular; style 5-6 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 30-40 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, stipitate, constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Flowers in May. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Central Ranges IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority Three (P3).
