Erect or sprawling, much-branched & aromatic shrub, to 0.5 m high, leaves pinnate, pinnae 15-55; sepals c. equal in size to petals. Fl. white-pink, Jan to Jun. Sandstone and quartzites. Heath and open woodland.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, compound, 25-45 mm long, with 5-49 leaflets, each 1-5 mm long, 0.5-2 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 5-16 mm long; calyx present, 2-4 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla yellow or white or cream, petals four, 2-5 mm long, valvate (not overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals. Flowers in January, February, March, April, May and June. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the North Kimberley IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority Two (P2).
