Divaricately branched shrub, 0.3-1 m high. Fl. yellow & white & violet/purple, Sep to Oct. Rocky places.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves alternate, simple, 4-9 mm long, 0.6-1.4 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences present. Flowers terminal. solitary; pedicels 1-1.5 mm long; calyx present, 10-15 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla purple, yellow or white or cream, petals five, 13-15 mm long, connate, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 14-16 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 2.5-3 mm long, without an appendage; style 15-18 mm long, hairy. Flowers in September and October. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Geraldton IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Threatened (T).
