Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 10-20 mm long, 2-4 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; pedicels 0.5 mm long; calyx present, 3-6 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla yellow, petals five, 13-25 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 14-20 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 1 mm long, without an appendage; style 14-17 mm long, glabrous. Flowers in April, May, June, July, August, September and October. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Jarrah Forest and Esperance IBRA region(s).
