Shrub, 0.4-1.5 m high. Fl. yellow-cream-white, Aug to Sep. Sand, gravelly soils. Lateritic uplands, hills.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets verrucose (warty), +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves opposite, simple, 7-20 mm long, 1-3 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, verrucose (warty), glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers in terminal umbels; pedicels 2-6 mm long; calyx present, 2.5-3 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales; corolla yellow or white or cream, petals five, 5-7 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, lepidote (with scales); stamens twice as many as petals, 6-6.5 mm long, smooth, glabrous, without an appendage; style 6-8 mm long, glabrous. Flowers in August and September. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie, Mallee and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority Three (P3).
