Compact, much-branched shrub, 0.2-0.6 m high. Fl. pink-white, Jun to Oct. Rocky rises & hills, outcrops.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, simple, 1.5-3 mm long, 0.5-0.6 mm wide, terete, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences present. Flowers terminal. solitary; pedicels 0.4-0.6 mm long; calyx present, 1.5-2.5 mm long, verrucose (warty), glabrous; corolla pink or white or cream, petals five, 10.5-13 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 8-9.5 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 0.7-1 mm long, with an appendage. Flowers in June, July, August, September and October. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Murchison and Great Victoria Desert IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority One (P1).
