Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1.5 m high. Leaves alternate, 9-35 mm long, 2-9 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire, the margins flat. Inflorescences not viscid, white or pink. Perianth 10-15 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy at the apex only; pistil 10-16 mm long; pollen presenter fusiform, hairy. Follicles not viscid. Cone with deciduous scales, 8-10 mm long. Flowers in May, June, July, August, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
