Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, compound, 12-30 mm long, with 7-17 leaflets, each 3-7 mm long, 1.7-2.5 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; pedicels 15-20 mm long; calyx present, 5-6 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla pink or white or cream, petals four, 6-8 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, hairy on the surfaces; stamens twice as many as petals, 1 mm long, smooth, ciliate (with a marginal fringe of hairs); anthers 0.7 mm long, without an appendage. Flowers in March, April, May and June. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the North Kimberley IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority One (P1).
