Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 1-2 m high, blade 2-3 times pseudo-dichotomously branched; sori circular, in 2 rows, 1 each side of pinna midrib. Fl. Jun to Aug. Peaty sand. Amongst rocks in gorges, on cliff faces, in vine thickets.
