Diffuse to straggling shrub, to 0.5 m high. Fl. yellow-white, Jun or Sep to Dec or Jan. Grey sandy loam, white sand or brown sandy gravel over laterite, skeletal sand over quartzite. Coastal sand dunes, plains, gentle hillslopes, rocky ridges.
