Scientific Description

Shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, opposite, not continuous with stem, 10-11 mm long, 0.6-1 mm wide, hairy, terete or revolute; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Pedicel present, 4.5-8 mm long, hairy. Calyx 6.5-9.5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 14(-20) mm long, multicoloured, mostly pink, with some purple spots, streaks or blotches; claws present; standard 13-18 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 11-15 mm long, not auriculate, keel 9-13 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.8-1.2 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 8-12 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 11-14 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Flowers in September, October and November. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Jarrah Forest and Esperance IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority Two (P2).
