Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, simple, 3.5-5.5 mm long, 1-1.2 mm wide, subterete, the margins concave (curved inward), verrucose (warty) or smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 3(-3.5) mm long; calyx present, 3-3.5 mm long, verrucose (warty), glabrous; corolla pink or blue, petals four, 9-11 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, warty with prominent raised glands, glabrous, with an appendage. Flowers in April and August. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie, Avon Wheatbelt, Mallee and Esperance IBRA region(s).
