Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves opposite, compound, 20-40 mm long, with 3 leaflets, each 10-25 mm long, 1.4-2 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 2-3 mm long; calyx present, 2-3 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous except for a ciliate marginal fringe, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla white or cream, petals four, 4.5(-5) mm long, valvate (not overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, warty with prominent raised glands, ciliate (with a marginal fringe of hairs), with an appendage. Flowers in July and August. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Geraldton IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority Two (P2).
