Scientific Description

Shrub, with hairy stems. Leaves 15-25 mm long, 5-15 mm wide, not lobed; margins dentate; hairy, with stellate hairs; stipules apparently absent, even from youngest leaves. Perianth clearly of two whorls (calyx and corolla), the corolla obvious and prominent. Epicalyx (extra segments or 'bracteoles' immediately below the calyx) absent. Calyx green, 4 mm long, the lobes fused half or more of their length, Terminal appendages absent, number of ribs absent. Corolla pink or purple, 6-8 mm long, glabrous. Stamens many; filaments present, 0.5 mm long. Flowering time June. Distribution Botanical Province Northern, IBRA Bioregion Victoria Bonaparte.
