Deciduous tree or shrub, 2-10 m high. Fl. green/yellow-green, Feb to Jun. Sand, laterite. Sandstone boulders, cliffs, ridge slopes, coastal areas.

Scientific Description

Herb or shrub, with glabrous stems. Leaves 65-225 mm long, 35-120 mm wide, not lobed; margins entire; hairs and scales absent (leaves quite glabrous), Sessile glands absent; stipules present and persistent to older leaves. Fruits indehiscent and splitting into sections (schizocarps), length-width ratio more or less as long as wide, hairs or scales present, simple hairs (without tubercle bases) absent, stellate hairs present, Sessile glands absent, tubercle-based simple hairs absent, gland-tipped hairs absent, scales absent; apex rounded; prickles absent (except perhaps a terminal awn); terminal awns or spines absent; calyx deciduous before maturity, not accrescent. Flowering time February, March, April, May or June. Distribution Botanical Province Northern, IBRA Bioregion North Kimberley.
