Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.25-0.8 m high, fronds 1-pinnate; veins anastomosing; sori forming continuous submarginal band, with narrow indusium. Fl. Apr to Sep. Loam, sand, clay-sand. Damp, often sheltered areas near creeks or pools, damp ledges of cliffs.
