Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.07-0.5 m high, fronds 1-pinnate; stipe blackish purple; veins free; sori elongated, continuous, with indusium. Fl. Oct. Light grey sand, sandy loam, clay. Shaded situations in jarrah forest, in moist depressions, granite rocks.
