Stiff, robust perennial, herb, 0.1-1 m high. Fl. blue, Sep to Dec or Jan. Sandy soils. Granite rocks.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-60 mm long, 8-20 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins toothed. Bracteoles present, 3.5-4.5 mm long, hairy or glabrous, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 5-7.5 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes absent. Corolla blue, 9-16 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, simple hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 5-8 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 7-13 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.8-1 mm wide on the narrower side, 1.2-2.2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-4 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in January, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
