Erect perennial, herb, 0.12-0.4 m high. Fl. blue, Sep to Nov. Sand, sandy clay, loam. Sandplains, around quartzite rocks.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 10-20 mm long, 5-6 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 2.5-4 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 0-0.4 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla blue or purple, 9-15 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, simple hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 3-6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6.5-11 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.6-0.8 mm wide on the narrower side, 2-2.5 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, gibbous; style 4-5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in September, October and November. Occurs in the Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
