Ascending, woody perennial, herb or shrub, 0.15-0.5 m high. Fl. purple-blue, Jun to Nov. Sand, sandy clay, gravel. Sandplains.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 10-35 mm long, 3-20 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 3-4 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 2.5-7 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with absent hairs. Calyx lobes absent. Corolla blue, 8-10 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, dendritic hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 4-6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 5.5-8.5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.7-1.3 mm wide on the narrower side, 1-2.2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 2.8-3 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in June, July, August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Yalgoo (YAL) and Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
