Ascending to erect perennial, herb or shrub, 0.3-0.6 m high, with grey or yellowish hairs on abaxial surface of leaves. Fl. blue, Jul. Sand, gravelly loam.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 8-35 mm long, 4-17 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, dendritic hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles present, 3.5-4.5 mm long, hairy, with hairy hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 6-8 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with dendritic hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-2.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, dendritic hairs. Corolla blue, 10-15 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, hairy on the inside; central lobes 5-7.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6-8.5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.6-1.5 mm wide on the narrower side, 1-2.2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 4-5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) and Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
