Ephemeral or annual, herb, 0.1-0.4 m high. Fl. yellow/yellow & purple, May to Sep. Sandy loam, sand, clay. Seasonally damp areas.
Scientific Description
Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 20-90 mm long, 5-28 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, glandular hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 0.5-2 mm long, with glandular hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 8-15 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 1-1.3 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla yellow, 7-10 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, glandular hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 2.4-2.6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 4-5.5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.5-0.6 mm wide on the narrower side, 0.7-1 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-8 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in May, June, July, August and September. Occurs in the Dampier land (DL), Victoria Bonaparte (VB), Northern Kimberly (NK) and Central Kimberly (CK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) Botanical Province.
