Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Prostrate to decumbent herb, stems, often stoloniferous, to 40 cm. Fl. yellow, Jul. Sandy soils.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 15-60 mm long, 7-17 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, simple hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 30-65 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-3 mm long, glabrous. Corolla yellow, 13-20 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 3.5-4.7 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6-9 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.7-1.5 mm wide on the narrower side, 1-1.7 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 6-8 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in July. Occurs in the Central Ranges (CR) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
