Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 20-110 mm long, 8-40 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, stellate hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 10-17 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with stellate hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 4-4.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, stellate hairs. Corolla yellow, 16-24 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, stellate hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 5-8 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 10-12 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.4-0.5 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 8-9 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in July, August, September and October. Occurs in the Pilbara (PIL), Murchison (MUR) and Little Sandy Desert(LSD) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
