Viscid shrub, to 0.5 m high. Fl. blue, Nov to Dec or Jan to Feb. Sandy soils. Gravelly hills.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 10-60 mm long, 2-10 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, glandular hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 2.5-3 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 5-6 mm long, hairy, with dense, glandular hairs. Corolla blue or purple, 13-19 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, glandular hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 4-5.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6-12 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1-1.5 mm wide on the narrower side, 1.2-2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 9.5-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in January, February, November and December. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) and Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
