Diffuse, ascending shrub, 0.15-1 m high. Fl. blue/white, Aug to Dec. White/grey or yellow sand.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves compressed, 2.5-8 mm long, 0.4-1 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 9-13 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 4-6 mm long, glabrous. Corolla blue, 10-16 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, hairy on the inside; central lobes 4.2-9 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 4.2-8 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.4-0.6 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 8-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Carnarvon (CAR), Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF) and Warren (WAR) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
