Straggling, procumbent shrub, 0.1-0.7 m high. Fl. red, Aug to Dec. Sandy soils. Undulating plains.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 8-35 mm long, 1.2-2 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 20-30 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 7-11 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla red, 25-40 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, glandular hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 13-22 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 11-18 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.5-1 mm wide on the narrower side, 0.6-1.5 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 24-35 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) and Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
