Diffuse, ascending shrub, 0.2-0.45 m high, with papillate leaves. Fl. blue, Oct to Nov. Sand, gravelly loam. Undulating plains.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 1.2-4 mm long, 0.4-0.5 mm wide, papillate; margins entire. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 6.5-8 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2.5-3 mm long, hairy. Corolla blue, 9-12 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 5-6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 2-3.5 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.4-1.2 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 6-7 mm long; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in October and November. Occurs in the Coolgardie (COO), Mallee (MAL) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
